Program Goals

Program Outcomes
Upon completion of the Lakes Region Community College Paramedic Program, students will achieve the following outcomes:
- Demonstrate the ability to comprehend, apply, and evaluate information and deliver safe, effective, patient-centered care expected of an entry-level paramedic.

Technical Standards
Students admitted to this program must have sufficient strength and motor coordination required to perform physical activities consistent with an Emergency Medical Service provider: standing and walking for sustained periods of time; driving an ambulance and/or rescue unit under emergency conditions; frequent reaching and manual dexterity in handling equipment often in confined spaces; and frequently transporting, moving, lifting, 以及将各种大小的病人从担架和其他病人运输设备上转移到担架和其他病人运输设备上.
